The winner was picked through an Instagram-based contest. Here's how it worked:

To enter, post a photo of your child or children wearing a Trotter Street outfit. It can be a current or past photo. Tag @purplebutterflykids and include "$1,000 contest entry" in your post. Tag as many of your followers as you like.

The winner will be determined by the percentage of how many people follow you and also follow Purple Butterfly's Instagram account.

We’ll look at the number of total followers you have and the number of mutual followers we have together, to determine what percentage of your followers we share.

Hint: reach out to all of your followers and suggest they follow Purple Butterfly to increase your percentage of mutual followers.

To keep it fair, the minimum number of account followers one must have is 300 people.
